Born and raised in France, working globally for thirty-two years in upscale hotels and the food and beverage industry, Frederic Watson understands genuine food. When Frederic Watson and Rhonda McFarland opened their first gelato shop in Bisbee, they were determined to have the best gelato imaginable.
Walking Main Street of Bisbee, they found the perfect location at 13 Main Street. Meeting the real estate agent, they were told the area had been a brothel location in the early 1900s. Playing with that concept, PussyCat Gelato was born. Six months after opening PussyCat Gelato, Bisbee, they opened a second location on 5th Ave. in Scottsdale. Spring 2018 marked the opening of the third location in Sedona. Its latest location is Tombstone’s Allen Street, the town’s main thoroughfare.
The décor is a hip retro throwback to the 1970s. The interior has a movie screen playing Josie and the Pussycats cartoons from the 1970s. The walls are poster-themed: Brigitte Bardot, James Bond, Josie and the Pussycats, Marilyn Monroe, Jane Fonda, and Raquel Welch.
