Our latest #BisbeeCreator is a woman who seems to be able to do it all. Valeria shared her story with us, and we can't wait for you all to hear it.

Valeria, native to Peru, moved to Bisbee a year and a half ago. Before leaving Peru she had an interesting variety of accomplishments as she earned an architecture degree and spent a few years racing professionally as a downhill skateboarder. Her partner Zach, who made the move with Valeria, landed a job as Park Ranger specializing in interpretation and education in the Coronado National Memorial.

What do you create?

I’m always creating things but my biggest creation is my baby girl Arisha Arizona, mi chiquitita. Currently, I am working on building our home in Bisbee. It is an off-grid, adobe home that I designed. My husband and I are building it ourselves and with the help of friends and family. We also have a garden and greenhouse on the property.

Valeria also runs a clothing company founded in Peru called Wayra that infuses Peruvian style with every handmade shirt. She had been selling the clothing around town and in shops, but she has been a little busy recently with her home and family.
