CENTRAL SCHOOL PROJECT

Central School Project is a non-profit arts center with the mission of providing affordable space to artists, preserving the Central School building, and fostering appreciation of the arts. CSP presents a variety of programs, including exhibitions, performances, films and poetry. CSP also rents its theater, gallery space, and meeting room.

Bisbee's premier gallery established in the early 1990s.  The gallery specializes in contemporary art in various mediums including fiber, metal, jewelry, pottery and paintings in watercolor, acrylic and oil. The gallery also houses a fine import boutique featuring natural fiber clothing, sterling silver and central American artifact replicas. 55 Main also hosts a variety of weekly gatherings related to meditation and contemplation.

SAM·POE GALLERY
The gallery is a contemporary art space featuring excclusively the work of husband and wife, Poe Dismuke and Sam Woolcott.  The paintings, drawings and prints by Sam are inspired by Bisbee's architectural idiosycrasies.  Fortified stone walls, steep staircases and hunred-year-old miners' cabins lend themselves to a near-abstract interpretation.  Her fresh use of color and perspective capture the lively spirit of the town.  Poe's work defies easy categorization.  His kinetic sculptures and tabletop contraptions are part of a world where tipping ducks, akking crows and disappearing mice co-exist happily.
